Overall, had a pretty good weekend. Friday night we took it easy and just watched some TV and stuck around home. Yesterday, it was pretty cold and windy but I still got out and did a 25 mile ride. Other than wondering if I was going to be blown off the road, it wasn't too bad 🙂 Then, later in the evening, had a few folks over who had been unable to make it last weekend for board games. Played some Apples to Apples (which I dominated) as well as a game of Settlers.
Today, woke up again and decided to ride even though it was colder than yesterday. Not as windy, though. Was feeling a bit colder and then on Rt 62, hit something and went over the handlebars. Was a little shaken up, but mostly okay — rode home without any problems, though slower. Then, cleaned up and went to sit in the ER waiting room to get 3 stitches in my chin (side note: WTF is up with Urgent Care not providing stitches?). Only other noticable impact is a few minor abrasions. But I suspect I'm going to be pretty sore tomorrow. Also, I need to realign the front fender on my bike as it took the brunt of things.
Also, started snowing an hour or two ago and is supposed to turn to ice at some point tonight which should make things relatively fun for tomorrow. Luckily, this week looks pretty light for meetings so I may well just work from home. I'm hoping that this week can be as productive as last, but that might be overly optimistic given last week.
