Less than two hours later, I have redhat-config-packages handling installing of random packages specified on its command line (soon to be via a nautilus near you) including doing dependency resolution against what is shipped in Red Hat Linux.

But oh how bad the code is. Nothing like having to quickly throw something together to make you want to rewrite it. Luckily, I think that having to move to rpm 4.1 will buy me the leniency to do just that. The big thing will be finding the time. Then again, with the amount of time this thing has been written in, I guess that's not such a huge problem either.

Bed time as soon as I make sure the new package works. I made quite good progress on my todo list for the evening, getting all of the things that “had” to be done as well as one of the two stretch goals. Certainly not something to complain about
