Went out and grabbed dinner with , , chris, andy, and eddie. Then dropped by Border's so I could pick up a graduation gift for my mom (oops, forgot to do that the other night) and ended up getting even more books for myself while there. At least I've got a nice pile to last me a little bit. And Godel, Escher, Bach really might take me longer than a little bit to get through 🙂

Now to read for a bit and then go to bed so I can get up at oh-dark-thirty to drive to Greensboro for my mom's graduation.

  1. Godel, Escher, Bach is an AWESOME book! I need to buy a copy of my own and re-read it. I missed a lot of stuff the first time around because I didn’t have the larger knowledge base I have now.

  2. I’ve been meaning to read it for a while, but just kept putting it off for one reason or another. Now at least if I continue to put it off, it’ll be staring me in the face until I break down and read it 🙂

  3. awwwww

You just made me remember that I forgot to go by the library to grab stuff to read! Darnit. I’ll have to scavenge my collection for books I haven’t yet read. Boooohissssss!

I should really start going to the library more instead of just buying books. It’s just more convenient to purchase them as Barnes & Noble / Border’s is open significantly later than the library.

I went to B&N not long ago and browsed for an hour or two, making a list of all the books I’d buy if I actually had money to spare. I haven’t yet had a chance to go to the library, which I’m sure has many of them. At least, between UNC, Duke, and the Durham library, I’m sure I could find them all for free. If only I wasn’t so lazy…
