I don't think I mentioned anything about my visit yesterday to the new monument of consumerism that is Southpoint Mall. In all reality, I didn't think it was that impressive overall. The Apple store was well laid out and showed Apple's understanding of marketing a product, though.

I was also very tempted to purchase a pair of noise-cancelling headphones from Bose, but I resisted, barely. They were extremely impressive and would actually be quite handy at work probably. To the point that I might still return to get a pair at some point. If they were a little bit less expensive, it would be a no-brainer.

  1. how much were they?

I need some new headphones. Probably not noise-cancelling, but my nice ones broke, and now I have to use the crappy ones that came with my CD player. Bah.

  2. They’re the nice $300 ones 🙂

Like I said, if they weren’t quite as expensive, it’d be a no-brainer, but that’s a little high.

  3. Sweet monkey Jesus, I have to drive past that civil planning abortion every day, with
more people slowing down to look at the new mall, making my commute all-that-much-longer….

…anyways, to save me a possible regrettable trip to that Acheron of Malls, let me ask you a question:

Did the Bose store have just stereo equipment or did it have any recording gear as well? I’m not interested in speakers or anything, but I may want to pick up a mixer or a DAT recorder from them…

  4. Just stereo equipment. Skip the trip… there just isn’t anything to speak of to see.

And I must say that I’m glad that Red Hat moved prior to the opening of that craziness…. I’m sure it would have had an adverse effect even getting off the interstate two miles up.
